Default Exhaust piping size for turbo

Trying to build a turbo kit for a 96 civic EX and need to know the stock exhaust size? Also, what is the max boost we can run on a stock motor....D16Y8?

i guess you're not doing internals so id say 6 or 7 psi....nothing more unless u tune it. If you have money and just wanna get a quick turbo and be fast, get the greddy kit. Some guy on clubcivic had a turbo for this same motor and got pretty impressive numbers

My last turbo integra I put down 267 to the wheel with a stock type R exhaust and muffler. It was dead quite, I could hear air running through my chargeline it was pretty cool!

That's 2.25 inch. With a cat.

How much power do you want? 3 inch can be overkill if you aren't looking to make massive power.

However, The size of your exhaust will greatly affect the turbo's spool up time

Butt dyno told me a made more power open dp but I was only able to stand it for a day . It was just too loud for daily driving. If I was to go back to open dp I would try the e-cut out.

does anyone make a 3" aftermarket stainless for the 96-98 hatchs? or would it depend on how long the downpipe is? or should i just go to the local muffler shop?

Anyone know how the 2.25" magnaflow catback would work if I mated that with a straight through 2.25" downpipe off the turbo?

I would go for the 3". If you cant afford it than I would not go any smaller than 2.5". Also, the smaller pipe helps a little with response. If you arent making huge power, this would probably be the way to go.
