exhaust matching coupe hatchie
looking to replace my hatch exhaust 1994 dx
will the coupe exhaust fit cat back? i don't think the sedan one will...
there's one that has a resonator piece that is stainless and one that is all welded together (looks like it includes the cat) - just trying to match it up before making the drive as they are over an hour away - thanks!
so many different walker parts numbers but my gut is that they are the same length and would work...i know the cx has the cat up front and the vx too. thx for the help!

Everything is the same size except for the axle back..
The sedan and coupes will be longer and can be used as long as you cut them to size.
You cant use a hatch exhaust on coupe or sedan unless you add tubing.
If you want a kit, heres a link that has everything needed.

Re: exhaust matching coupe hatchie
so from the cat to the muffler, all of the resonator pipes are the same length, just different walker part numbers, maybe slightly differrent diameters but they will match up?
theres a guy selling a stainless one he said was used on a coupe but was meant for a hatch - but he didn't seem to know which years, I am guessing 92-00 would all use the same resonator piping except for the cx/vx's? thanks again everyone for the help

The axle back is 3" longer...once installed an integra axle back on my hatch. just needed to shorten the pipe.
Also had an ej/ek axle pipe under my eh2. Same length and fits :-).

Re: exhaust matching coupe hatchie
sounds good - so if the guy is selling a resonator from a 92-00 civic(hatch/sedan/coupe/whatever) it will fit my hatchie and i just need to get the right muffler to avoid cutting and then just bolt it on, yes?

'92 - '00 Coupe/sedan are the same length. Cars with a D16Y7 take a different midpipe but are otherwise the same. The only midpipe that will fit a '94 DX hatchback is a '92 - '95 DX hatchback or Si hatchback exhaust. Everything else will need to be cut and shortened. You can however use a '96 - '00 Hatchback muffler/axleback though.

Re: exhaust matching coupe hatchie
i bought the new part: walker 46858: could i use this to see if it "matches up" with any used part someone is selling, yes?
Also: I was surprised that there was some rust already on the new pipe where the welds for the resonator chamber was - its this normal? sort of a meaningless superficicial type of thing?
