Default Exhaust Manifolds? - D16y7

I'm looking to replace the exhaust manifold on my '97 Del Sol (hairline crack down the middle) and saw that Partsgeek has them way cheaper than everyone else:

http://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts/...-06003913.html

Does that seem right? Is the site reputable? I know shops are going to quote way more but even compared to other sites that seems cheap. Considering the reputation for Honda OEM manifolds cracking I can't see an inexpensive aftermarket one being much worse. If anyone has input on which one I should go with or what site to use I'd appreciate it. Never dealt with anything like this before!

Does your car have the catalytic converter directly after the manifold? That piece is supposed to fit the d16z6 which uses a standard 4-2-1 manifold with a catalytic converter beneath the car.

You need te first one listed here (with hardware) or the second (no hardware)

Yeah I figured I'd need the one with the cat since that's what is there now, didn't know if a partial replacement was possible or if everything would even match up properly. I suppose it's worth just doing everything considering the mileage (200k+) not to mention fumes blowing in every time I use the heat.

Yeah...that's never fun. If you want to do some upgrades you could always go with a header, cat and midpipe for a del sol with the cat located under the car...

That is a possibility but I'm trying to go the cheapest route while still doing everything the right way. Plus I love my MPG's! I am challenged in my area for local parts availability (MI) but on the flip side there are no annoying inspections.

Installing a new manifold seems easy enough, I'd love to dodge the undoubtedly insane rates that shops will charge in labor to do it.

Not to thread jack, but is a hairline crack a big problem? I have it too just wondering. Like do I need to get it replaced soon? Its been this way for quite a while.

It may or may not mess with the oxygen sensor, probably not enough to throw a cel or drastically affect your mpg's, but that depends on where the crack is and how big it is.

In the op's scenario the fumes are getting inside the car through the ventilation ducts.

I like the ebay header and cat idea...a little up and up for about the same price as you would pay for an OE equiv replacement. I don't know too much about the pieces with the cat attached right at the manifold though I have a y8 so I've never dealt with this. GL

I've gone about 1,500 miles on it over a period of months with a crack. The worst part about it by far is are the fumes that get in and the horrid noises it makes at idle/reverse are a close second. When stopped at lights I go into neutral just to keep the noise down.
