Exhaust install price qoutes?
I'm switching my muffler from a skunk2 to a Apexi World Sport 2 Universal muffler. My car is a 95 Si with a B18c. Currently it has a full exhaust with a resonator, high flow cat and the skunk2 i mentioned. Anyone have a qoute for what this service should cost? The only place I was able to go today was Meineke and I expected to be ripped off compared to a local muffler shop. They qouted me 218 to install the muffler, 45$ for some piping and 50 bucks for hangers then the rest is labor. They didn't seem to know how to properly tuck/install the muffler for look either, saying it would "look big". Not sure what they were describing here, either way I intend to show what its supposed to look like to anyone before they install it.
Btw I'll ALSO post some before and after decibel readings from my iphone for those who are wondering! I wish I had a nicer decibel meter but it will have to do, unless I can find and return a radioshack one lol, no money otherwise.

$218 seems a little pricey to me, but I've never had this done so I'm not sure.
Also, you're right about your iphone SPL meter, at least the one on my android is completely useless. I'm a live sound engineer for a living and all of the decibel meter apps I've used seem to think it's 90 db when it's like ~106 (which is a huge difference on a logarithmic scale) and so forth. It'll still be interesting to see the results.

200 dollars is probably around the ballpark. You may find someone do it cheaper. You really should go to a place that someone else recommends. Awhile back, on my Chevelle, I had 2.5 inch dual exhaust installed with fully mandrel bent tubing. It cost around 450 dollars. I thought that was pricey estimate but they did an excellent job.

I'm confused on what you are having done. You say you have a full exhaust with high flow cat, resonator, and skunk2 muffler that will be getting switched to a WS2 muffler. So if it's just the muffler why would it be so expensive? Last time I had just my muffler changed it cost me $20.
