Exhaust on hybrid eg
Okay I'm looking for an exhaust system, but it doesn't seem like any company makes a system for a b18c hybrid eg. So if I was to buy an exhaust system made for an eg what modification do I have to do to it to make it fit my eg. responses are welcome.

Re: Exhaust on hybrid eg (NOPD)
i think thermal research &development makes hybrid exhausts. if not i think u get the exhaust that goes with the chassis and get the exhaust piping cut a couple inches by a muffler shop.
good luck phatty, when is your motor coming in?

Re: Exhaust on hybrid eg (NOPD)
When I had my hybrid EG built we decided that it would be easier to modify the cat to bolt up to an off the shelf cat-back exhaust system rather than modify the exhaust side of things (dido for the header).
For instance, I had a Spoon header, CUSTOM CAT, Trust SP cat-back exhaust. By modifying the cat you are left with the option of a wider variety of header/exhaust combos (just my $.02)

Re: Exhaust on hybrid eg (NOPD)
your best bet would be the following:
stock integra typeR piping (fits EG perfectly), aftermarket muffler.
try the muffler they got at SIGNAL AUTO (www.signalauto.com). they are straight-out from Japan, true JDM tuners, lots of experience, great service.
the muffler looks hella tite, and its sold as a rear section only (bolt-on) for $280.
so just take that typeR piping and the muffler to a reputable muffler shop nad have them install it for you. you'll be very happy.
you can also try E-S oval muffler, JDM look, good performance, cheap too (under $100). http://www.es-sports.com
hope this helps, good luck.

Re: Exhaust on hybrid eg (EG6JDMspec)
I appreciate all the response. It will be tough finding just the type r piping for cheap. They usually sell the whole system. Plus I wanted to get es oval, but i'll have to go to muffler shop and custom the piping, and I dont' want that. I rather a mandrel bent system straight from a company. If I have to I'll probably get the es oval, which i was originally looking for awhile or the n1's and get a muffler shop to do the piping.

Re: Exhaust on hybrid eg (NOPD)
I use a Tanabe racing medallion on my B16 EG!! I like it, flows great, sounds awesome at 8k rpm!! I also know a few guys with B18c's that have racing medallions and they seem to like em.

Re: Exhaust on hybrid eg (neof69)
What sounds the best too. I have an EG with 2.5" piping and universal muffler and sometimes it just sounds like pure ***. Tru i have no cat but theres gotta be something to change the tone to a deeper tone rather than all the time hearing just BLAAAA...

Re: Exhaust on hybrid eg (NOPD)
Here is mines: B18C1 in an eg. Tanabe Racing Medallion. If you plan to keep the stock header, then you will need to extend the cat about 2". I took mines to Meineke and they did it for like $40. Also, you can get a 98 spec ITR header and 94-95 LS cat and it will be a bolt on affair.

Re: Exhaust on hybrid eg (Guardson3r3)
answer.. ITR header ITR test pipe and 92-95 HB catback..
liek JDM4-1 + godspeed test pipe + RSR EG6 exhaust. fit liek a glove.

Re: Exhaust on hybrid eg (houston)
I wish I had bought a jdm type r 4-1 header but I got the jdm dc sport instead with test pipe. I measured the collector and it's 2 3/8 instead of 2.5 so I need a 2 3/8 piping instead, so that's kind of jacked up. now I just need to find an exhaust system or just muffler and custom pipe it. I forgot to tell you guys those details
