Hey guys, just have a pretty easy question for you to answer. I recently switched from a 5.0 mustang to a honda civic VX HB and swapped a B16a motor in it. I have a question about the exhaust setup. I have heard Megan is a decent exhaust system, I have a question reguarding how it will work with my stock header. From what I understand, I need the cat back system plus the test pipe. But I dont think the header I have has a place for the O2 sensor. Does the test pipe come with one? Do i need a new header? If someone could explain how the stock header and an after market header fits with after market exhaust, that would help a lot.

Yes the test pipes have bungs for the O2 sensor(s) but im all honesty its probably best if you leave the CAT in, not just for the environments sake, but for your ears sake as well. More times than not, when you run a test pipe on a honda civic, it will sound very high, farty, and raspy. Being that your coming from a mustang, the last thing your going to want to hear is your car be a continuous loud fart rolling down the street.

As for your header, the stock b16 one will have the O2 bung already on it, as will any aftermarket header. Id say run stock header, and use the extra money towards a highflow cat.

I agree with mike... on a N/A honda motor a test pipe will give you 1-2 whp over a high flow cat, it's not worth it for legal, environmental, and noise reasons... go high flow cat

Great! Thanks for the help guys, I really appriciate it! I am going to get a highflow cat instead. Any idea which I should go with? Could I get one on Ebay? Again thanks for the great help! Also with the high flow cat have an o2 bung on it?

Ok Some more questions. Like I said earlier, I just purchased a Megan System for a For Civic 92-95 3Dr hatchback only (including Si) MR-CBS-HC92HB. Now with this it will fit my car and is the correct length I assume. In order for this to work it needs the correct length Cat on it. Since I have a B16 in a 92 civic VX HB, what kinda of car do i buy the exhaust/cat for? The headers for? I dont know the correct cat or header to purchase for this setup. I guess what I am trying to say is do I search by engine or by car?
