Exhaust Gaskets
Hello All,
I'll be installing my omni decat pipe (2.5"), but I will need a 3 bolt 2.5" gasket and 2 2 bolt 2.5" gaskets, I have the option of either getting some from Honda or some from ebay
Exhaust - RSR GT2
Also will the OEM Honda ones be 2.5"? The dealer told me the parts are for my SiR, but i'm sure the system is not 2.5".
Help appreciated.
Thanks.

They have different looks, but do the same thing. Which is cheaper?

This will not work for you...your outlet from the cat is 2.25" and the inlet from the omni test pipe is 2.5" so it wont work the way you want...i have read threads where people use a 2.25" donut gasket and then a 2.5" donut gasket stacked on top of that one but it seems kinda ghetto to me. The outlet to the omni test pipe is 2.5" so it will bolt up to any 60mm exhaust (60mm is roughly the equvilant to 2.5") so the outlet to the exhaust from the test pipe will bolt up fine but not the outlet from the header to the inlet on the test pipe. however i did not use a gasket between my outlet on my test pipe and the exhaust and have no leaks. If this does not make sence let me know

yep makes sense, so whats the solution for the outlet of the 2.25" manifold and the 2.5" inlet of the omni test pipe?
One other thing - Do I still need a 2 bolt gasket on the inlet of the test pipe if I am using the donut gasket?

Not sure...other than returning the product and getting the USDM one other than the JDM one.

no the donut gasket is the gasket needed on that end no other gasket is needed.

The two bolt flange goes between the two sections of the exhaust some where back by the reartire area. And to my Knowledge he only USMD car to come with 2.5" was the ITR even then i could be wrong on both accounts

i have the rsr gt2 exhaust and it only has one flange that needs a gasket, i used liquid gasket from napa, so at most you should only need a gasket for between the header and the testpipe, and for between the testpipe and exhaust

Re: (2coupes)
correct, only issue is the donut gasket from the collector to the inlet of the test pipe are of different size - Testpipe 2.5" - collector 2.25", i heard it should bolt on, or to use a 2.5" donut on top of the 2.25" donut on the collector.

You can try it it might actually work only i think you would be prone to leaks doing it that way.
