Default Exhaust dump for na h22 civic?

Do you think having a exhaust dump for na application would hurt performance since there isnt any backpressure? I wanted to keep a "stock" appearing exhaust but be able to open it up for racing.

I would suggest running maybe a turndown after a resonator or two towards the rear lca. You want to keep the torque, but maybe free up a little backpressure for the topend. I ran my h22 hatch open header once, and I didn't even want to get on it. It was the loudest ****** **** ever. Plus my lowend completely sucked

See I wanted to get the electronic exhaust dump so and I can open and close it whenever I want.

Was your lowend just incredibly robbed?

So basically, what would you think would be better, exhaust dump for racing, or just stick with a cat-back exhaust?

Truthfully I would just run a full exhaust. The very little bit of power you might get from running an e-cutout prolly isn't worth it. If you are looking for something subtle, I'd suggest a custom 2.5" with an ES oval. Sounds fine, looks fairly stock and good flow. When I ran open header, my car felt like ****.

Just do a custom 2.5" and use a muffler of your choice. Running open header will kill your hearing and won't make you that much faster.

I guess its time for a rsr exhaust, but I do have a rsx type-s muffler in my basement. Does anyone on here know if that muffler will work with civics? I was going to put it on my accord.
