Hey guys im wondering who has installed a cut out or who has one on there car tell me about it and the set up how the install went

Usually cutouts and exhaust dumps need to be welded into an existing piece of pipe, so the installation is a snap because you don't do it . The electric ones own, you install them after the header and you can run open exhaust whenever you feel the need.

So what type of electronics do people run when running a power cut out???

No vids, but whenever it stops raining I'll try and get underneath my car and take a pic.
Unfortuneatly (spelling?), they're not too cheap. I think on their site it's like 185 or something, plus another 15-20 for shipping. I just bought mine from a local muffler shop so they installed it. Total for part and installation I think was like 300

if you are only using it at the track, the manual cutout will work fine.

i had one and would unbolt it when i went to the track.

yea im gonna be running around 20-28psi, i have 3 inch dp, and 3 in all the way back so i didnt want to hurt it with 2.5 so im going with the 3.

I want to figure out a way to make it work so that it opens and closes automatically with vtec. But it opens to slow 4.3 sec and you have to hold the switch to make it open/close.

It sucks that they cant have something that will just open and close in less than a sec with only one pos on the switch. That way it could be wired with vtec!!!!

I think that would be nice

i guess they keep it that way so that its streetable too, i mean if we went by a cop and vtec kicked and it went to open dp, damn that would cause some ****, he would bust our *** for that

i have the Quicktime cutout on my car.i just bought a piece of 2.5" exhaust pipe,two 2.5" flanges and a 3" J-bend.i Y'd off the downpipe with a flange to the cutout,then another flange on the other side of the cutout,with a 3" turndown.

i hears the quicktime performance ones leak like a civ, but i use one from a company called DMH performance and it is the shiznit. i love it.
