the axle back portion will need modifying I believe.

I've seen the axle back portion taken to a muffler shop. They had no troble modifiying it to fit. I'm not sure how much piping they left stock or how much they had to cut off and weld new. It sounded great though.

Do you know if it was simply the hangers?

I honestly don't know. I saw the hatch at an auto-x and the owner simply said he had an exhaust shop mount it up. Sorry.

you have to make the axle back shorter,
and yes the hangers need some modding.

still not sure if its just the tip or the piping that needs to be shortened though.

Anyone else know for sure. I want to get an idea before I go to a shop. Don't want to get ripped off.

do you HAVE the type R exhaust??

just compare it to your current exhaust.
if the hangers, mounting location, length of piping, etc , are different,
then yeah, you'll have to make it the same.
