exhaust before lowering

Default exhaust before lowering

I got 2 things I gotta do to my civic....lowering and getting custom exhaust ran from the mainfold back.....and my question is.....it is ok to do the exhaust before dropping it?...or should I lowering it first?....or does it even matter?...thanks alot

are you worried about clearance problems? If you are, you can 1) lower it however much you want to, then see how much room you have or 2) just don't get an enormous muffler or exhaust system, you probably don't need it.

yeah i was worried because I dropped my accord some and I had to run the new exhaust under the control arm as opposed to above it and it was only dropped 1.5 inches....my civic is gonna be a 1.75 inch drop with 2.25 inch piping and a 3.5 inch fatty on the back

The only time I've seen clearance issues on 6th gens at least is when the car is lowered and there's straight piping.

are your going straight piping, if your in doubt then you lower your car first then follow the exhaust. your going to do both anyway so go on the safer side, since it won't matter anyway
