Default Which exhaust for 2000 Si?

Okay kids, I'm new to the Honda tuning scene, but I need some info on which exhaust would be best for me. I have an AEM CAI on the way, and plan for a DC, Comptech, or APEX-i header. I want an exhaust that is louder than stock, but not loud like the APEX-i N1. Anyone have the DC Twin-Can system yet, or Mugen Twin Loop? Other exhausts I've looked at are the Comptech, DC Sports, and 5Xigen Fireball...I need some input so I can order my exhaust! Thanks.

I have a APEXI N1 and used to have a Greddy SP it was ok but when I switched I notices a differecne in performance see the low noise exahusts are great and make power but if you want big power like cams etc I would go with a more strait threw exhaust the N1 is prety quiet with the silencer in and when you go to the track you cant take it out and have all the power you need when you need it.

My friend has the Apex-i N1 on his Si, and it is way too loud for my tastes without the silencer in. I'm looking more for street performance, and not for track duty, as I will never go to one. I want to add some power the the car, while also getting a nice tone to it. I do not want a 'Fart-Pipe'! Any more help out there???

HKS hiper is super stunna lookin, damn sexy sounding, gives off a "sexy bass note". Best sounding exhaust for civics. Not even close to being N1 loud either, but same style as far as looks. I HAD one till it got stolen. The only one I've ever seen on a civic. Now I have to find a new one.......trying to experiment, but I have a feeling I may be buying HKS hiper all over again.

I'v been to0ld thermal is cheep
you have been mistaken young one

thermal 2.5 setups are a true 100% stainless steel setup...everything from the muffler to the pipes leading to the muffler are 100% stainless steel.

and the Thermal 3" setups for turbo's are with out a doubt THE BEST! ask anyone who has a turbo....and im sure they will say that the are the best ones you can get

my Thermal Classic System cost 480 dollers

Everything Mugen is overpriced...actually there's no place for mugen in the marketplace, IMO. And do your own work, I don't know if you're new to cars also but always research before you do something stupid. Looks like you're off to a great start. Good luck!

I like my Twin Loop.

It has a nice mellow tone but it's still very quiet.

If you had to arange these exhaust in order of quietest to loudest what would it be?

Apexi WS
Thermal R&D
Comptech
DC Sports

Also, any comments on the Comptech exhaust?

that order sounds about right

At wide open throttle, the thermal is LOUD and DEEP!!! but when you are crusing around town not doing much it has one of the quietest, yet still noticable tones out there

Which Thermal do you have? And does anyone know anything about the new DC Twin-Can system yet?

Thanks everyone!
