Default exhasut question

right now im waiting for my greddy 15g kit but as of the moment i have a 2 1/4 inch exhasut on the car with a loud *** N1 muffler on it....the question is this...i want to put a stock ls rear section on there wich is 2''. will i notice a big drop in power with the turbo on..also how restrictive is the ls muffler... and is it worth it to put it on....all i want is a quieter exhaust...also the car will be at 5-8psi

I was using pretty much the same setup you will soon have, and I didn't find it that loud. You definitely won't want to use a LS rear section because all you'll be doing is bottlenecking everything down from 2.25" to 2" and then into the LS muffler. Keep the exhaust gases flowing as smoothly and quickly as possible with the turbo! If you want something quiet, have a muffler shop weld in a resonator or something. That might help quiet things down a little. But when I was using 60mm piping and a N1 muffler with my GReddy kit, I thought the tone was perfect and the volume fairly quiet. Don't get me wrong ... it was still pretty loud but not horrendously, IMO.
