Default exedy clutches

anybody have opinions on the OEM exedy clutch? i have a 92 dx hatch with i/h/e... is this a good buy (its only $101 at clutchcityonline)? or would i be better off with the organic racing clutch ($255 at clutchcity)? i dont really race my car too much, just the occasional track maybe once every couple of months... i would just like a clutch that grabs harder than stock but doesn't give out too much pedal pressure. pro's and con's please? thanks all...

I have one, it should be ok if you don't race too much and if you don't want to spend a lot

i got an exedy racing clutch n act xact streetlite flywheel, kinda feels stock to me probably cuz my d16 isnt really pushing it enough to actually need it, probably come in handy if i go turbo, so i say stock clutch would be fine

I have an Exedy. It doesn't hold up to 10 psi, but it has lasted for a long time of me beating it pretty bad. The last couple of weeks I have been really abusing it since I thought I was dropping in a new tranny soon. I have been practicing launching, taking off as smooth as possible trying to burn this clutch up and it doesn't work. They are excellent for normal street driving, but if you are F/I I would suggest something else.

I don't remember. It was 3 years ago. I paid over $300 for it back then. It's still takin' a lickn' in my Civic right now, 3 years later.

Just remember, you get what you pay for. From what I have heard, their clutches suck. I have an ACT clutch with an extreme pressure plate. It grabs real nice. It is good for street or track.

i heard different. your motor is basically stock with bolt ons. i bought one a while back and have been happy with it. the exedy clutch kit comes with clutch disk, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and pilot bearing. i'd recommend it.
