Default Excessive oil consumption in my B16A2

Just wondering if anyone else has had problems with oil consumption in their B16 (or any B series for that matter). I am running a B16 from a 2000 Si. It has about 55K miles on it now. I never had any oil consumption trouble until my most recent oil change. I have already used 3+ quarts of oil since the last oil change. I am running Mobil 1. Same as I have been using since I put the engine in with 1,900 miles.

Changes since my last oil change:
DC 4-1 header
Valve adjustment (performed by Honda)
Mobil 1 has changed to their new "Super Syn" formula (this is what I used at the last oil change)

I have not noticed smoke from the exhaust (but that is unconfirmed, I need to have a friend follow me and confirm) and there are no leaks, so I can't figure where it is going. My only guess is the header is causing it (possibly by its improved scavaging pulling oil past the valve seals???), but that is just a stab in the dark. Anyone else notice oil consumption after installing a header? I am just worried that something is really screwed up.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

if you are using 5w-30 mobil 1, then switch to 10w-30 mobil 1 and that may help.

1. tighten the oil filter.
2. tighten the oil pan bolt and put a new crush washer.
3. inspect everything for oil leaks. then clean everything.. and check again in a few days.
