research...
but yeah stay away from flow through designs as they are the loudest. stay away from n1 cuz there about the loudest. what size you looking at? cat-back or just muffler?

1000$ on an exhuast?? jesus h-christ, what mods are you planning for the engine?? If you aren't planning anything major I wouldn't bother with an expensive exhaust, but that's just me. To all their own.
I had a tanabe super racing medalion, but it was loud as hell. I had it before it was a trendy fart can.
I would say something low pro, that performs well.

Re: exaust i need one (asshat)
i just had a custom setup installed on thursday... its 51mm piping, 3boxes through flow design. its perfect, absolutely NO rasp and its nice and quiet in citi driving and even freeway driving, no drone inside the cabin...
it gets louder when you get on it, but its still never too obtrusive.. nice and sporty sounding.
in total it cost me the equiv of $321 for the full cat back and a 4-1 header...
gotta love South Africa..

seeing that your name is mugenmanr, i think you should go for the mugen twin loop since you are ballin and is willing to spend 1000. i think the mugen full cat was like 800-900?
