Ex Tranny Identification. Searched Already!
I need to know if I have a 96-00 Ex Tranny! The stamp says P4A/A000 and the sticker says its a S40. I just need some clarification if its an Ex or not before I put it in. Thanks.

Pull the case off and start counting teeth.
Might as well replace the input shaft bearings while you're in there.
Don't forget to use Hondabond when resealing.

This tranny was bought from from Atarco. Its been rebuilt. Im sure they would know which tranmissions they would be selling to their customers but I would just like a comfirmation before i bolt it in. This would be the third time dropping/installing a transmission for me. Personally I think I would kill someone if I found out it was a lx/dx/etc. and have to pull it out again.
Thanks for the input
