ex and si difference
I did the search and nothing came up so sorry if this was already answered. I have a 2000 civic ex (2 door) and im trying 2 change everything from a crashed 2000 si into it but the problem is that I don't know what other differences the si came with I know of the obvious like the motor, tranny, font and rear lip ,front grill, wing, rear disk brakes, proportioning valve, rear sway bar, front strut tower brace bar, interior like seats and the cluster. is there anything else that im missing any help would be great thanx a lot!!

don't forget the suspension, and any power options. How bad is the Si wrecked? it'd probably be easier to rebuild it depending on how bad it is... if you don't mind a salvaged/rebuilt title.

That's awesome dude!
Yes, the rear suspension. The front suspension is different in the LCA's and the sway bar (I think that's it).
The Prop. Valve isn't necessary.
The interior is dark grey.. Your's is light grey?
... Yeah dude, that's alot of work. Good luck

if you are swapping the drums out for disks it may be necessary to use the si's proportioning valve, im not 100% sure but keep it around just in case

Just gut the hell out of the Si and use everything. That's even remotely different than your EX.
It'll be a fake Si, but oh well. Is your EX an auto?

i could be wrong, but i dont think, for the US market, that honda offered the rear lip in 99-00, it was only 96-98. however, i am sure that the bigger wing was offered on the EX as well, and you could also get a wingless Si.
what i'm trying to say is that rear lip/wing arent inherently Si parts. but, if you have em, throw em on
oh yeah, and the Si has a leather shift **** where the EX and others have plastic (?)...and the Si came standard with the "upgraded" 7 spoke rims (they were an option for the EX). let's see...well the only other difference i can think of is the DOHC VTEC and Si decals...but those are kind of useless if you're going to be putting Si parts in an EX

Re: ex and si difference (hushypushy)
I believe the rear lip was a rare, limited option for the Si only... I know I've searched for one and there was only one person anywhere that had one on his 00 EM1, who then sold it before I even knew he had it.

The '99-00 EX's had a rear lip as well. Not sure if it was the exact same as the SI, but they did have one.

All U.S. SI's had the wing, and yes some of the EX's did too.
