EX ECU + VAFC on HX
Ok, guys... I touched on this a couple months back about swapping in an EX ECU and what problems I would have, but now I'm more serious about doing it, so I want to get some definite answers.
I'm planning on swapping my p2n ECU for a p2p for a more aggressive fuel map. Now, if I alter my VTEC engagement point with a VAFC and bring it down to the stock p2n engagement around 3k, everything should function correctly, EXCEPT for those damned CEL's. So, my question is what kind of problems am I going to run into with this swap as far as CELs and my car not functioning properly?
I'm specifically looking for info on EGR, VAFC compatability, and plug and play compatibility between the two ECUs.
Thanks in advance.
PS... For those of you who have no idea about the HX, don't post about how the VTEC engagement point should be up around 5500 rpm. The stock engagement on an HX is around 3k. Trust me.

Why dont you just get a fuel pressure regulator along with your VAFC, and hook a wideband up and make your own fuel map, and not have to worry about CEL's. Hooking up the EX ECU to that motor is a bad idea IMHO

Hmm... that would be a great idea if I knew how to do that. No CEL's = GOOD
