Default Evap Purge control

my question is do i need the selonoid?

would bypassing it like this work? Reason i ask is because mine is broke at the top and i cant seem to find one to replace it.

yea itll work.
leave it plugged in though, I think the cel will come on if its not plugged in.

On obd1 the check engine light won't come on for it. You can just remove it and put a cap on the intake manifold nipple.

ok i have it capped right now actually, car has been smelling like its running rich and i thought maybe it was because i had that capped off,,,,any chance the 2 are related or do i have a diffrent issue? Its strange cause the car doesnt feel like its running rich, just smells like it.

there's a hardline that goes to the fuel tank you'll need to plug that, I ripped out my evap system and plugged the hole on the TB,ITM and the one going to the gas tank
