with the ES trailing arm bushings, do you just press in the bracket that sits in the bushing? i know with OEM you press out the whole bushing and mount and press the new compleate on in. so i am wondering do you just save the stock mount and insert that into the ES bushing? what keeps everything from sliding around???

also what is the difference between the 90-93 bushing and the 94-00 bushing? can the 94-00 bushing be used in the 90-93 rear trailing arm?

Nothing
The DA bushing is larger (I used to know exactly how much... You cannot use the newer bushings in DA arms.

Dont get the ES bushings. They causing suspension binding and have been reported to slide around, just like youre asking. I highly recommend you just get OEM replacments (or mugen hard bushings)...because they work the way theyre supposed to.

sent you a pm back.. but for everyone else, there are some bushings on ebay that have the 1988-00 civic part number http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

yet they are also listed as being for a 90-93 integra. i have already emailed the seller asking to explain this, but my new question is will the 88-00 civic bushings fit the 90-93 integra trailing arms? and how much of a difference is there in size from the 90-93 integra bushings versus the 94-00???

there are no mugen or megan racing aftermarket bushings i can find for the 90-93 integra

got a response back from the ebay seller. they say that they have sold 60 of these and have not received any returns. and that most of the purchases are for acura's. so can someone tell me if the 88-00 civic trailing arm bushing will fit the 90-93 integra triling arm?

There are sleeves for the mugen bushings. Contact King motorsports and they can help you out.
(I know this, because I originally was using DA arms)

And yes, I know for a fact that DA arms use a larger bushing.
If you get bushings for 92-01 civic/integra they will just fall right though.
Again, I know this because I used to use DA arms

you say 92-01 civic/integra.. i thought there was a difference with the 90-93 vs the 94-00. if the 88-00 civic bushings will fall through, then all i need is the sleeve from king?

88-00 civic/crx & 94-01 integra are the same
90-93 integra are different (larger)

I know that King Motorsports used to carry the sleeves for the DA arms...whether they still do...I cant say. Probably...

For posterity, the 52385-SR3-000 bushing has been superceded by the much cheaper part number 52385-S21-003 since that article was written.

I have done the rear trailing arm (RTA) bushing replacement when I had my 91 civic sedan. At first I wanted to just swap out the 90 integra brake assembly unit onto my civic RTA. But realized that it would be much easier if I just used the integra one instead.

But before I could even do the swap I would have to take the 88-91 civic / 94-01 integra bushings back because the 90-93 bushings were completely different in diameter.

If you need help with doing the swap, click on the 4doorsedan link. Do a search for rear trailing arm bushing replacement. It has pics and step by instructions on how to replace the unit + the bushings. I also included all the necessary tools you need to get the job done right.

I just did a trailing arm swap yesterday...Used 93 DA arms, one of which NEEDED a bushing. I went to Honda, picked up two and both had a SR3 part number. I had no issues with installing the bushings. I didnt have a chance to check with Acura to see if there is a difference, but there are no problems so far. Time will tell.

Did you have yours pressed in. They don't just slide in. If you leave the original sleeve casing or housing, then you can use the smaller diameter bushing, but they still require to be pressed. One test you can do is to drive it hard on turns to see if the rear end steps out on your terribly. GL
