es bushings
no this is not a topic over how much the bushings helped the shifting. this is a topic over shifter problems after installing them. here goes
one night over the weekend me and my freinds were drunk and i had got these es bushings a couple days before so we decided to put them in. well we jacked the car up, put it on jackstands secured the car and everything. took te linkage off at the front knocked the old bushings out. then got around and put in new bushings. did the back which was a bitch to get off and then back on. so i decided to check it the next day. cause i didnt trust myself and from the looks of it i dont think we put the loob on the bushings,,,,would that matter?
ever since i installed these at idle my shifter will rattle like a bitch and it feels really notchy. i have checked the shifter probably 10 times. i have a dc sports single bend short shifter. i know it has to either do with the bushings or shift linkage. please help and sorry for the long post

your shifter rattles from engine vibration being transfered thru the stiffer bushings and possibly your bolts are not quite tight enuf.
as for the lube lithium grease is fine or squirt some reg oil on em.

Re: (sohctodohc)
tighten the bolt that goes thru the shifter and into the shift linkage. Make sure you don't over torque it!! That will cause a stiff shifter feeling. I'm not sure what the torque actually is though!

Re: (spoonek9)
i considered that and i tightened the bolt that goes through the shifter and shift linkage and it is tight. dc sports shifters have bushings in the that make it to where you cant over tighten em. nebody out there with a dc sports single bend short shifter tink its a shitty shifter?
