Error Code 43 '93 Del Sol Si
I'm the owner of a 1993 Del Sol Si with a D16Z6 engine.
After a rather lengthy engine rebuild, I took the car for a drive today and experienced a rather awful low, and rough idle. The valves are adjusted a little too open, but I didn't think it would cause a problem like this. It idled between 500-700 RPM in Drive and Reverse (it's an Automatic) and 700-800 in Park and Neutral. When in Drive, it chugs and shakes my head back and forth while stopped. Once it revs above 1000, the problem goes away and it drives fine. I checked the OBD1 computer, and it gave me error code 1 and error code 43, which I understand is a fuel supply problem. Can anyone give me any pointers to fix this problem or point me in the right direction? I have not reset the computer since I've rebuilt the motor, but intuition tells me that's not the way to fix it.

According to the Chilton and Hayne's manuals I have, it says to check for a pinched or damaged fuel return hose. If not, replace fuel pressure regulator. I removed the sparkplugs, to find one was completely flooded and another had little to none at all.
