Engine won't start!!!
My family own an EJ6 Honda 1.60i (auto) since 1996. We seldom drive the car
hence, the mileage is only about 31000km. I'm the only one driving the car now. Recently, when i try to start the car, i encounter this problem: a looping "click" sound coming from the dashboard front passenger side. The engine
did'nt start and the oil pressure, eng. malfunction and battery indicator light ON. At times, it's only 2 of them ON. I had to switch everything OFF, wait for a while before starting it again. At times, the same problem occur. Repeat again until I managed to start the car. The worst case I encounter was, when I could start the car and just drive a few meter, the engine suddenly STOP. 2 or 3 of those indicator lights that I mention above came ON. And yes, that looping "click" sound appear. For your info, the car use those "Tropicalized maintenance free" NS60 battery, something like that(been using it since 2005). The mechanic says it's the ignition switch cable problem. I changed it, problem still occur. Some says it's the battery, short-circuit, fuel pump, starter, ECU(that would be a real problem!!),charger. I don't know....
I really hope someone could tell me what the cause of these. TQ.

Had the same problem on my civic. Remove the starter and power it off the car to see that the gear engages forward and spins. If not time for a new starter.
If that works then check wiring continuity between power (red on battery and starter power cable when ignition is turned to the crack position.

dude your starer is clicking becuase it aint getting enough power! try a new batterie first!if the problem goes away but starts to happen again your alternator is bad and is not keeping the batterie charged enough to start your car!at that point replace alternator and replace the wire that goes to the batterie(wire is not neccessary but wont hurt either) !if that dont work buy a starter!
you can also take it to autozone and have them test the alternator starter and batterie if you dont wanna just throw a bunch of money into your car! me i like to replace things LOL i enjoy spending money on my car!

good point about the starter. are you able to "push-start" the car?
as in.... turn the ignition to on, push in the clutch and put your shifter in 2nd gear.
have somebody push the car until you get some speed, and slowly release the clutch and give some gas..
but check the battery too

Re: Engine won't start!!! (slacks)
Can you push start an automatic? never seen it done. i dont think the torque converter would transfer enough torque to turn the motor.

ok no you cant push start an auto that is why your supposed to buy manual LOL!
have someone jump start your car then tell me what it does! remember you need to let the batterie charge for a few minutes while the other car that is jumping you is running.
