Engine won't crank Help!
hey guys, i've got an issue that I can't figure out, hope you guys can help! I've tried searching a few various problems and have tried anything i could think of...so here's the problem: '92 honda civic dx HB 5spd
With the key in the ignition, i can turn it one click...everything is fine, i get power, then onto the second click...again i get all power to the accessories/lights and I can hear the fuel pump, finally, step the clutch and turn key....everything dies. no power at all. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!
The things i thought it may be:
bad main relay: I got a new one and that didnt work
check the dizzy: that seems to be working fine, that didnt work
starter: got a new starter, jumped the starter that didnt work
ignition switch: thought it could be some bad wires and bought a new one, that didn't work either
fuses: checked all fuses and they all seem to be fine, still didnt work
ground wires: checked all ground wires and they were fine, still not working
checked all wires under dash for proper connection: all wires were fine, that didn't work
ecu: jumped the ecu, no codes at all...switched out the ecu and that didn't work
battery: bought a brand new battery, nothing....
I don't know what else to try, everything was working fine and driving pretty well and then that morning. it just wouldn't crank over.
What do you guys think it could be? Car is stock except for an intake and suspension. Thats about it. Any help would be appreciated! Please, I'm serious so try to add helpful suggestions and not frustrate me with stupid remarks. I'm already at my wits end and don't need the b.s. Thanks!

Re: Engine won't crank Help! (cvrboi)
try putting the key to the on position then start the car from under the hood. take a piece of wire connect one end to the + on the bat and then the other to the starter where the spade(think thats what its called) terminal slips onto the connector. if it starts it is most likely your clutch pedal switch. which u can just bypass it by unpluging it and jumping the connector and then u can start the car without pressing the clutch.
if this doesn't work oh well.

Maybe your alternator took a dump on you? I don't know.. Thats a tuffy. From how you described it, does sound like a batt problem.

alternator is fine, the car would still crank though if the alternator was bad. All it does really is hold charge...I checked it out and it's fine. But thanks though. I tried a new battery in it and nothing...the battery I have in it now is pretty new too.

Get the damn thing to a shop, have it diagnosed and then fix the problem yourself... Hopefully you have AAA! Good luck!

Re: (Pikachu)
its not the battery, i work at sears and check batteries all day and have never seen this before. IT HAS ALL THE POWER WHEN THE KEY IS ON THE "ON" POSITION, BUT ONCE YOU GO TO START IT ALL THE POWER SHUTS OFF AND YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG THE BATTERY IN ORDER TO REGAIN POWER.
P.S. He took off his projector headlights (this is when all the problems started). I think his car was born to be RICER and is mad at him. Anyone have angel eyes they want to trade so his car will start again??

haha you wrote this after you knew what the problem was...who here has a dumbass for a cousin, give me a thumbs up
Problem solved, the recently replaced ground wire from the negative side on the battery went bad, I replaced it with a new one yet again and bingo! (this is EastonDLE, I'm using my cuz's screenname)
Thanks for all your input guys, except for my other loser cousin Teamyellohead, trying to fake the funk and making it sound like he knew what the problem was...haha only after I told him!
