engine will not start
 

starter spins and then shuts down, smell of gas. Car is a 1990 honda civic lx.
4 door sedan, Last time it ran, I was pulling into a parking space and as I was about to put the car in par. the rpms went from 1000 to zero, engine died and white smoke came up from the steering wheel and steering column. The evening before, it refused to start the first 5 times, finally I held the pedal to the floor and it started, the next morning it started to go to the gym, it started at the gym but died at the post office and in fact its still there.
I cannot figure out how to remove the back seat to get to the fuel pump, plus i ve been told three different locations for my fuel pump and one is under the seat, the other is in my gas tank.
it may be my main relay because of all the smoke that came up?
i cant find anyone to tow my car or work on it, i need my car for school and work.
any suggestions besides shoving it over a cliff? oh and my fan switch or blower moter is out because i have no heat and no a/c.

Dang you seem to be having a lot of problems with your car cause just read another post u had posted about it. I dont really know and im sorry if im not a lot of help but my suggestion would be to maybe just get a newer car that wont give u so much trouble cause in the end if u keep spending money on getting that car fixed u could already have bought a better one....just my 2 cents though. sorry for not being a lot of help

yes, i would buy a new one if i had money, but i dont have any rich relatives.

You'll probally want to ask in the EF forum, they should be able to help you on getting the seats out... on EGs there are just 2 clips you pull on the sides on both seats, then a bolt that holds the bottom of the seat on.
