Engine types & nitro...
I know the d16y8's are vtec, i was wondering what other d series have vtec. Also my friend has a 94 Del Sol.. He wants to add nitro to it.. im trying to talk him out of it but he insists.. its got 80,000 miles on it and its an automatic.. what to you all think of the nitro idea?

The D16Z6 also has VTEC.

Nazzz comes from nos... a company. No I mean nitro as in the fuel, nitrous oxide. Anyway, so you all think it would kill a automatic tranny? What about a manual transmission.

And yes, overtime it can kill an auto tranny. Especially one from a D series. Heat kills torque converters. At least with a manual tranny, the clutch can take most of the beating and can be replaced relatively cheaply.

brian if he insists let him do it but hes gonna **** up his car. If anything tell him to do a conversion to a 5 speed.
