Engine tuneup - 56k on your own risk :)
Hi there! Just got my car back from the engine rebuild, and thought I'd give it a shine, and clean some of the parts. I took some pics too
1992 Civic VTi
JDM P30 B16A2 DOHC VTEC
Civic Type R pistons (81.25mm) with new rings
Integra Type R (P73 head), all brand new.
Civic Type R camshafts
This week, the following is mounted:
AEM CAI V2, Fuelrail and fpr, uego gauge type
Type1 Racing header, testpipe, b-pipe and Ti muffler
Apexi VAFC2
RC310cc injectors
Walbro 255lph
Head was milled 0.25mm, and given a light pnp job.
Cleaned out the engine bay, the TB, and installed some new groundings..
Here's me, hard at work. Damn TB was stuck:
Thats not an oilleak there, is it? Oh man.. on a brand new headgasket too.. Headbolts need a retorque maybe?
Looks like oil, smells like oil, tastes like.. no wait..
Many many years of wear and dirt.. 5-56 here I come!
Time to adjust those valvelashes..
Sure looks good. OEM Oldschool rusty header. Owns!
New grounds..
And done..
And my car..

nice ferio.... that leak could be any of the seals on the side of the head... cam seal, vtec solenoid gasket, distributer seal. or yah - the head worst case scenario....
im replaced all the seals and it still leaks there. so i guess i have a leaky head.

Re: (BauleyCivic)
Could you swap that rear seat into a USDM coupe? I've never seen that done before but I would think you could. Where would you be able to buy it?

Hi guys, and thanks! For more pics of the car, take a look at http://eg9.sprengt.net . More pics to come here, but you get the general idea.
The suspension is a mess. The previous owner bought the suspension of a 1998 Honda Civic MB6 - Yeah, you might wonder what that is, but more jaydm goodness for ya. Its a 1998 Civic Sedan with a stock B18C4 engine, much like your C1. Its Koni, and it sucks. Rear end is too high, and I will fix that with the new coilovers.. I thought I'd give the JIC FLT2A a try.
