Engine timing belt: < '96 replace @ 90K , > 96' replace @ 105K
just a FYI:
Additional Intermediate & Major Service Requirements
Could Vary by Model and Mileage Intervals
90,000 Engine timing belt - Replace every 90,000 miles for 1996 and prior year models; inspect water pump & accessory drive belts for wear and damage.
100,000 Fuel filter - replace every 100,000 miles or when fuel pressure drops below factory specifications.
105,000 Spark plugs - replace platinum every 105,000 miles
Engine timing belt - Replace every 105,000 miles for 1997 and newer models; inspect water pump & accessory drive belts for wear and damage.

Still with an interferance (sp?) motor I would be wary of running a timing belt up to 100k. Im sure it will be fine to run up to 100k on a T-belt but I wouldn't do it.
And theres no chance I would just Inspect the waterpump. I would replace the water pump EVERYtime

See but honda is assuming your getting all your work done at the service intervals at the dealer. The water pump is ALWAYS replaced when you do the T-belt becuase its a Pain in the *** to do it afterwords.
Look at it this way. If the T-belt needs to be replaced every 100k, and you don't replace the water pump the first time you will either have to wait for another 100k to do it or do it sometime in between ( which is a pain inthe ***)

Re: (SkRiBLaH)
I'm up to 117 K miles and the timing belt still hasn't been changed, niether has the water pump. Car still runs great, but now i'm getting some belt noise. I haven't checked yet to see which belt it is, but.... i should probably get on that. I would like to do it myself but I lack the tools and don't have the cash *full time college student* i only work 16 hours a week for 11 bucks an hour with bills. What should i do? Doesn't this cost like 700 bucks to replace?? I'm probably screwed.
