Bring it to Bayside Transmissions. I got my b18c1 install there in my 94 CX.
Clean work and it looks factory(why shouldn't it right? lol... I have seen other shops swaps )

Personally, I wouldn't pay a shop to replace the motor. Not only is it a lot more expensive, but there are tons of people out there who know how to do it. In fact, i'm sure you could do it yourself.

thanks everyone for the info., personally i can not do it myself cause i don't have the tool and space to work with. Any idea what will i be expected to pay for the swap? I been told that it will cost around $5k. How long would the swapping job take? Do engine swapping jobs come with some kind of warranty or guarantee from the shops?

it depends on what swap you are gonna get. price range varies for D16's to B18C5's.

swaps don't take long at all. it all depends on if you are gonna supply the motor, making sure it is complete because some engine suppliers are weaksauce like that.

I know that if you get your motor through Bayside, there is a warranty of some sort.

I urge you to give them a call. Cleanest swaps around.

Kewl, Bayside sound good, but it is quite far. I will check out Redstone Motors see what they can do.

I would like to change the Gauge too, since my 92 HB CX does not have a RPM gauge. How would i go doing this? Is there like a one place where it has exclusively all 92-95 civic HB accessories to buy?

put in a SI or EX cluster. Plugs right in.

you don't have any friends that have tools to help you? **** i'm about 30 min north of San Jose... i've got a lot of tools already and would gladly help you for free if you want to save some money.

All you would have to pay for would be the motor, a few rental tools, some beer and lunch, we could do it man! I'm down if you are!

Just think of all the money saved and more importantly, experience gained!

Wo Sketch_hs thanks for the offer, yes i do have someone who work in shop .... However, i really like it to be installed by specialized place in swapping motors as a priority. Why you think SI and EX cluster though? I did some research and have decided to go with teh H22 series for power and torque, I never realize the hatch was so much flexible. Just wondering if there is any hatch car club in san jose,ca. Oh by the way nice Tila Nguyen picture for your avatar, when can i have my own avatar instead of the smiley face.

You should call Advanced Motorwerks.
I forgot the number but try lookin it up.
They do everything there and can tune it for you after its done too.
They have a dyno there and have built many cars.
If you know Sinister, they built sinisters 10-11 second all motor cars

Just curious...what prices did you guys pay and for what swap? I want to do a b18c1 into a 94 cx and have gotten quotes between $3000-$4000, but don't really know too much about the rep of the places I've checked out.
