engine swap or turbo
I have a 1997 Honda Civic dx. I am running with about 200,000 strong. I just replaced the tranny and I must say that the car is running smoother than ever. The car has been paid for, so I am looking to do something to it. I had the outside perfect and ready for show, 3 years ago. I was ready to do an engine swap when it was stolen and stripped. I guess that now I am wanting to put some money into it rather than spend 20 grand on a new car. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have been out of the loop for a while, so I am basically starting from scratch. Thanks!

I'd swap the motor. Your stock DX motor won't have too much potential, even with a turbo. Swap the motor first to a B-series. B18B1, if you want to save some money and then you can turbo it. Or a B18C1 (GSR), and you can either stay all motor, or go turbo as well.
Definitely swap out that wimpy stock motor first.

Do a search and make up your own mind fromt he results that you find. You'll hear some of the same things here as you would from doing a search.

Yes please do a search. With that many miles I'd say swap it out for something with a lot lower miles. There are a lot of varius options available if you just search.
