Engine Swap Question
Will my car automatically fail inspection if they see that I have swapped a different engine. And is it possible to pass inspection with an obdI engine in a 98. Should I just buy a 95 and not have to worry about any of this?
Thanks

Re: Engine Swap Question (therza)
you can pass inspection with an engine swap for sure, it just makes it alittle more touchy. The motor has to be the same year as the car, or newer.

Yes they do, my friends rx8 failed because of his test pipe. He had to go out and buy a stock cat because he threw it out for some reason. The car died the other day anyway.
He smartened up and bought an s2k.
