Default Engine Swap Problems

I just swapped a B18c in my 2000 civic si. now i have problems. the ecu that was shipped want plug in, its a obd2 p72. mine that come in my si is p2t. The plugs are different. I think its a obd2a and obd2b difference. But what i was wondering is do the jdm ecus check for a crank position sensor? if so how do i get this ecu to work? or is a conversion harness and an obd1 ecu gonna be my best bet?

Default Re: Engine Swap Problems

JDM OBD2 ECUs don't look for a CKF sensor. and yes its an OBD2A/OBD2B issue. Most JDM ECUs stayed OBD2A through the entire production run btw.
