Hey guys I'm new to this so please bear with me I'm trying to find out something
I have a 98 civic hb with the factory engine in it and I want to take the engine and put it in a 99 civic 4 door I know from 96 to 98 and 99 to 00 it's obd2a and obd2b or something like that

So my question is what would I need to do to make it run the swap should be easy it's the obd2a and obd2b is what I don't know what I would need if the plugs don't match.


Any help would be great thanks

And before someone else comes and says that I don't know how to use periods my period key is F up so please if you can help me with my question and not my grammer I would appreciate it

as far as I know without searching, you just have to reuse the electrical stuff from the 99 on the 98. I dont think its really that big a deal.

Use the manifolds , distributor, etc from the obd of the car getting the swap as said above
It's easier to swap the motors obd than the cars to me

See I don't know anything about this stuff lol all I know is the engine is from the 98 and I want to place it in the 99?

Oh and the 99 is just the body the motor and transmission are out I don't have any parts from the 99 the harness is still there but that's it

what was said still applies. Everything else will just be a swap over, you need the other parts or a harness swap.

Well since I don't have the parts I will swap the harness from the 98 to the 99 and hope that works
