engine swap help obd2 jdm b16a swap
I have a 97 Civic with a d16y8. Well I got the motor out and was changing the harness over to my b16a obd2 motor and noticed that the harness from my car has a box that plugs into the injector harness with 2 vacuum lines that connect to the manifold and the new motor does not have the box or places for the vacuum lines just the wires for the 4 injectors, do i just hook the injector clips up from my old harness and leave the box unplugged with no vacuum lines or do i have to rewire the injector harness that came with the b16? much appreciated if anyone can help me out..

Re: engine swap help obd2 jdm b16a swap (JDM-95-Hatch)
just incase i didnt' make it clear the motor going in is a jdm obd2 b16a, just confused why it doesn't have the box if they are both obd2 seems that both it and the d16y8 harness should be the same

Re: (ekb16)
on the d16y8 there is a box with a 2 pin plug that sits underneath the fuel rail and the wires run from the box into the plastic cover for the injector wires. there are also 2 hoses one on each side of the box. I have never seen this box before but this is my first obd2 swap

I dont know about the box you are talking about but if you are refering to the vaccum line in between the two middle injectors that is for secondary air injection and is emissions related.
