Default Engine swap help!

i have a 93 civic dx d15b7, i have just done a engine swap a JDM D15B VTEC, the car starts up fine but wont stay at idle it ether dies or goes whoom whoom whoom real fast between 1300-1800 RPMs and it keeps throughing code.

the D15B7 had some kinda valve on the back of the intake manifold it went to the vacum canister and to the sensor and into the back of the intake manifold, and the JDM D15B VTEC dosent have the hole for the vacume hose so i dont know if thats causing it to do that or what and also i still have the stock po6 non-vtec ecu in it could that cause some problems?

and another thing when i turn on the car my reverse lights come on at random times some time they will stay off and ill shift and they will come on so what could cause that?

i really need help im going out of town soon and i need to fix these problems please help!

That would be you IACV(Idle Air Control Valve). That's the start of your problems. Search under IACV or hunting idle, but go to archived. I'm pretty sure this has been covered before.

the "valve on the back of the intake manifold it went to the vacum cannister" is called an evaporative purge control solenoid. many japanese engines do not have them.

You say it throws codes....well thats usually how you startr fixing problems, by checking the codes and correcting them.
