Engine support
Yeah I was wondering if the engine could stay supported if you only keep the drivers side motor on, the rear L bracket with only 1 bolt holding it in place, and the drivers side L mount on.
I usually put the jack under it to keep it supported, so I'm just wondering if I really need to support it with the jack after I pull the tranny out.

Yeah, the Rear mount doesn't hook up to the engine, it hooks up to the tranny. You'd still need to keep a jack under it.

If your not going to use all the mounts then a Jackstand is a must.
I would hate to wake up in the morning and see broken mounts and an engine on the floor.

I don't remember this right because I haven't worked on d series for like half of year but on B series it does hook up to the engine itself (not tranny and engine together, there is one bolt that just hooks up).
Well whatever I left the engine hanging by all the mounts, moved the car over, and put a jack under it.
