well what kind of motor and for what price..? if it is a k20a2 for 2 grand something is up, but if it is a low end motor for a decent price and from a shop or a friend and not from some shady dealer, it should be legit.....there is also prolly a way to run the vin

my buddy picked up a legit a fully built unsleeved b18c1 for the same price.
When I got mine I talked to the cop down my street. He told me as long as I have all that guy's info (full name, address, license #, phone #) and a clearly written out Bill of Sale I would be good. That way if you get busted you can show the cops your bill of sale and they will go looking for the other guy.
My bill of sale basically said who was selling the motor who was purchasing the motor, how many miles is on the motor, the block code, vin, and for how much with the date and both of our signatures.

run the vin# if it's clear, just buy it... make sure you do this ^^^. just in case. that's a hell of a deal. it's not impossible to find people who sell legit things this cheap. just rare.

my cuzin got a 92 hatch with a b18c5 and gsr seats for only $4,000 but if you wanna know if the motor is stolen of not check on carfax...

Yeah the whole getting caught with stolen motors that you thought were legit sucks. I got a d15b for free from someone and was drivin it home and got pulled over. I forgot to look at the vins first but the cop didn't forget to. Turns out the were ground off, that took a hell of a long time to explain, but I'm a good talker and got out of any trouble.

it isnt from a dude near miami florida with the middle three letters of his phone number being 260 is it? because he is a scammer that has screwed alot of guys. he is currently back on ebay selling "motors" for dirt cheap
