engine stalls when... (I've read all 34 search results)
I have a 93 civic hb p30 ecu.
just built from scratch ls/vtec all new bearings, rings and headgasket
used my know working b16 head never remove intake mani or fuel rail or TB or iac.
running ls crank and rods w/ p30 pistons so my compression ratio is approx 12.2:1
I have a wideband and it reads 14.5 at idle or when returning to idle from a cruising speed.
fuel pressure is 55 psi @wot and returns to 42 psi @idle.
cannot find any vacuum leaks so far.
I used one heat range colder plugs due to the compression.
engine idles just fine @ 750 rpm timing is 16 deg btc.
when coming to a stop w/ clutch in or out and pressing the brakes veh will stall.
will restart w/o a problem and never runs rough at idle.
any suggestions are appreciated

Re: (93egsir)
i had the same issue on my car. changed out the throttle body and intake manifold all sensors, injectors, fuel rail, fpr and it fixed my problem.
i know this doesnt really pinpoint the cause for you, since i replaced all at one time i dont know which one fixed it, but i hope it will help point you in some sort of direction to solve your problem

Re: (92ehatch)
the thing is that is the part of the car that didnt change when the new engine was built.
that all stayed the same. I just changed the block from a b16 to a 12.2:1 ls.

the only thing that would make that happen would be the iac valve not compensating for the power brakes, and i know if your booster check valve, or booster is not working properly it ill do the same

i thought mine was in the brakes, so i changed the booster and valve.
didnt work.
ultimately i think mine was a vacuum leak, but i cant say for sure. it is vacuum related tho. i can almost guarantee that

???? did you find out what was wrong with your car? my car is doing the same thing now. any info would help to fit the problem....
i think it may have something to with a ground or the wiring harness...

check your starter ground wire. We had the same problem with a freshly swapped h22 this week. When ever it was put in gear it died.
