Engine rebuild - need help with oil pan and gasket installation plz :)
im getting rdy to put my oil pan on but i dont know what side of the gasket on the oil pan cause one side has a groove and the other side is flat.
also do i need to put rtv sealant on the rear water transfer pipe?

nvm im stupid and the oil pan gasket can only go on one way lol
but i still dont know about the rtv sealant on the water transfer pipe?

with a good o-ring there should be no leak. its more less press fit when its all together

i hear they are a PAIN IN THE BUTT to get on and bolted up without leaking oil. Hopefully you do alright though

Yeah, i just did this a couple weeks ago. Honda calls really for no sealant, but i always add a little bit of ultra grey (hondabond) on the dimples to ensure a tight install
