engine rebuild, knife edge the crank or no?
i almost spun a bearing in the block, but i caught it before it happened. my # 3 main bearing is **** so i'm getting them all replaced.
the machinist said he can knife edge and balance my crank, along with the rotating assembly. what are your thoughts on that? from what i've gathered, i don't see it being necessary to do so, but need more opinions.
motor is a jdm gsr motor. i'm thinking of telling him that if the crank is scorred a little, just to micropolish and balance it, no knife edging.
