a bunch of little things leaks oil timing is off only by 2 degrees crazy idle when its cold sometimes the heater smells like fuel, it wont warm up to operating temp unless its driven for 5-10 minutes it wont warm up at idle and id like the 45 mpg the z1 is capable of
basicly thats it but its up there in the miles and want to take some preventative measures to keep the little motor going for a while it has to get me thru college for the next 2 years lol

Yep, you can get the JDM equivelent of the D15Z1 (D15B Vtec-e) note, there are numerous D15Bs, make sure you get the vtec-e version.

if im reading it right, you live in texas? if you do forget about the engine warming up to operating temp. if you're mechanically incline, do a water pump and timing belt job(well only be about $90 if you do it your self, and with oem parts). the oil leaking... were from?

this is all for saying, do a motor swap. if you wanna save more money, just fix the timing. it'll be cheaper to get a b16, or even a ls, and the rewards in hp well be better.

well if it's a new belt, just try and fix timing. if the oil leaking isn't bad, just forget about it. save up and get motor swap.

if your oil doesn't look milky, or oil mixed with coolant, don't worry about head gasket. valve cover gasket... to go cheap, just buy some rtv silicone and seal it up.

save, get the swap.

Just don't waste your money on a b16! Save a few more months and bet a b18b/c.
