Engine rebuild
Just Finished rebuilding my brothers new setup started up everything is good. But I took they oil cap off and It made a hissing noise like it had built up pressure in the block, but this never happen to me before. Im wondering if the breather case on the back of the motor is messed up?? Or should i get a catch can to be safe. The motor is simple basicly stock parts.
b16 head milled 0.30
new valve stem seals
stock valve springs
stock retainers
type r intake manifold
stock b16 throttle body
Jdm type r exhaust manifold
Gsr block decked 0.10
stock pistons
new rings
new rod bearings
new main bearings.
Yes the idle is normal no its not overheating no leaks anywhere!
1 more problem I do have a check engine light but the clip to get the codes i jump it with a wire the engine light dosent flash? does anyone know which pin connectors on the ecu i can jump? a picture diagram be best and yes I used the search button!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry its a 94 ex coupe.

Re: Engine rebuild (slvrcvc93)
The one with 2 pins should be the one you have to jump. Make sure that the paper clip is actually making contact. I have been through that many times where I insert the clip but no light comes on. Just have to look at it and make sure you insert the clip on the tightest side of the pins.
