Engine question
wasup people i was just wondering i just bought a 1995hatch civic si and i am going for an engine swap can anyone tell me if a jdm gsr type-r engine will fit? and if it can't can you tell me the best engine for my civic the one that gives out most power (money aint a problem ) thanx it would be appreaciated the most

I have heard the Type-R motor referred to as the B18C type R....unless that is totally flawed....Ima do a search...

there is no such thing as a jdm b18c5/c1, however, that doesnt mean there is a such thing as a jdm gsr type r motor.

ok *******.... the B18C in japan is 2 different engines. the JDM "GS-R" is the B18C that comes in the Integra SiR-G (no GS-R in japan). It's a P72 engine that is very similar to our B18C1.
the JDM B18C "Type-R" engine is what comes in the JDM Integra Type-Rs. it's a PR3 engine that is very similar to our Integra Type-R engine, but, since there are no sub-codes in JDM engines (as in B18C(1) or B18C(5), they are both called the B18C, even though they are different engines.
The SiR-G engine (or GS-R) is referred to as the B18C Spec-G, and the JDM ITR (Integra Type-R) engine is referred to as the B18C Spec-R. hope this helps you fellas a little bit.
