engine question
Putting together a B18A1, and I had it decked and rehoned. They jetwashed it after they finished the work. Is there any lube of oil I should put on it until I put it together? I got it back and it looks like rust deposits (they are minor)are starting to come because I think they let it air dry. What the best way to take it off, and what should I lube it with.
I'll have pics next week.

Re: engine question
that's kind of slack of them to let it air dry without some sort of rust prevention measures.
WD-40 was invented for things like this. i give all my stuff a liberal coat of this before putting it up in storage or if i'm not imeadiatelly assembling it.
(obviously...) it really only matters on ferrous metals, so don't waste too much on the block casting or anything else aluminum.
when you're ready to put things together, just clean it all off and apply assembly lube or engine oil (manufacturers and parts suppliers will recommend one or the other, so let them be your guide.)
