Which Engine?? Please Help!
I have a 92 hatch cx and in the spring I will be swapping the engine. Everyone I talk to says something different. I will have around $1000-$1500. Swaps I have considered are Ls, Ls-Vtec, and B-16a. Please give me some advice to what eveyone thinks and maybe a place to purchase the engine. Thanks!!

1500 won't be enough. Save your money until you have about 4,000 that way 1, you can get a GSR (1.8 w/VTEC) Torque is your friend. AND any issues that arrise, you will have the funds to fix them.

i agree with spade...but if you are on a limited budget, go for the LS and if you get more cash later, you can slap on a turbo.

$1000-$1500 won't get you an LS Vtec nor b16a unless it's a DIY. up to you if you want NA or FI. I personally won't do LS Vtec cuz of all the problems i've seen people have with it.

I have accumulated a total of about $3000 for my swap. I plan on putting in an LS. Do you guys think that $2000 is too much for a full LS swap? Or should i keep looking around, i think i can find it cheaper in LA.
Anyways, if you're on a tight bugdet, get an LS, and have a buddy put it in.....

Re: Which Engine?? Please Help! (Trey94DX)
I just picked up a 94 B18C1 from www.hondamotorsonline.com for $3300! I was debating to put a B16 or B18 into my 1993 CX, but I decided to go with the GS-R motor because of the torque.
Even though the engine was 3300, I still needed another good 1000-1500 dollars to add things like exhaust, intake, NEW CLUTCH, and any other additional pieces that need to be replaced.
Good luck with the swap, do some research for about 6 months so you at least know what you are getting in to. There is more to it then just swapping the motor.
At least you have a 1992 CX and it is already pre-wired for VTEC!

I think u barely have enough money there for just an LS changeover. You could always do the LS, save up money, and decide whether you'd like to go turbo or lsvtec. Be warned though, neither is cheap.

I have about 5 garnd in mine, before i had to replace the POS transmission JDMHONDAPARTS.com sent me. Just get prepared for teh worst, sothin ever works out like you want it. Then you add in the money for clutch, spark plugs, wires, synthetic oil, everything adds up, and it adds up fast
