Default engine oil

The guy who is doing my b16 swap for me is trying to sell me on Motul oil. Its like $40 for 5quarts so its expensive (Mobil 1 5quarts $22). Has anyone used this oil and have any take on it. I use the car as a daily so the oil gets changed pretty frequently so if its not worth the extra cash i wont do it. thanks in advance

I don't know about Mobil 1 but with Royal Purple you don't need to change your oil as frequently so that cuts down on the cost.

Then don't even bother with Mobil 1, and stick with a quality conventional oil instead.

dont not pay extra for boutique oils unless you need it for racing.

buy an over the counter synthetic or conventional oil for your street car.

on my daily drivers i use unocal 76 synthetic blend oil dor $2/quart.
