Does anyone have any ideas about a "gargle" noise only heard at about 1500 rpms in a d16Y7 engine. It can be heard with the car parked if I increase the thottle to 1500. It is not heard during normal idle or much above 1500 rpm. It is not noticeable when the car is first started, only after the car is driven and warmed fully. It is most noticeable when driving in a parking lot or garage at about 10 -15 mph. Since the noise seemed to be in the region of the timing belt, I had the tension adjusted on the timing belt. This did not help. It is the kind of noise that is very difficult to locate. Help!
