ENGINE MISSFIRE.....PLEASE HELP
I HAVE A 95 CIVIC DOHC VTECH WITH A T4 TURBO....I AM HAVING A PROBLEM WHEN I GIVE THE CAR GAS....ALMOST FULL THROTLE......WHEN I PUSH THE GAS DOWN MY VTEC POPS BUT STUTTERS AND I CANNOT BUILD UP SPEED....IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THE ENGINE IS MISSFIRING WHEN I FLOOR IT....I DO NOT HAVE A VTEC CONTROLER OR ANY CONTROLLER TO MONITIER MY AIR FUEL RATIO...I WAS THINKING THAT MAY BE THE PROBLEM....ITS WEIRD BECAUSE WHEN I FLOOR IT SOMETIMES THE VTEC POPS AND I GET BOOST THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE GEAR...OTHER TIMES IT GETS STUCK WHEN I FLOOR IT AND STUTTERS....ANYBODY KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS...PLEASE LET ME KNOW THANKS.

i am running a garret t4 turbo setup and pusing 13 lbs of boost right now....i didnt have the problem with my old exhuast....i had a greddy turbo cat back exhuast..no i put in a hks turbo back exhuast....3 inches...my old exhuast was only 2 1/2....is the problem that there is less back pressure now and i need to adjust my air fuel ratios?

vtec pops most of the time but when my car is cold and i floor it a little the vtec pops but then kinda gets stuck in a way and then i have to **** into the next gear

IM SAYING VTEC POPS WHEN I FLOOR IT...NOT WHEN THE CAR IS COLD.......SOMETIMES WHEN VTEC STUTTERS I HAVE TO SHIFT INTO THE NEXT GEAR BECAUSE IT SOUNDS HORRIBLE LOL...I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO....I JUST PUT IN NEW SPARK PLUG WIRES AND NOW AM ABOUT TO INSTALL MY VAFC ii....YOU THINK THAT WILL DO THE TRICK?

IT NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE WHEN I HAD MY OLD EXHUAST ON WHICH LIMITED THE AMOUNT OF BACK PRESSURE ....IT WAS A GREDDY CAT BACK EXHUAST....NOTHING LOUD OR OPEN...NOW I PUT ON AN OPEN MUFFLER AND THIS PROBLEM CAME UP...I THINK I NEED TO PUT IN THE APEXI VTEC CONTROLLER IN ...WHAT DO YOU THINk?

Are you sure you understand what vtec is supposed to do? Is it engaging around the crossover point?
It sounds like you dont really know what the hell your car is doing, vtec isnt suposed to be heard if the car is tuned right anyways, unless you have really wild cams. Get your car dyno tuned, dont butt dyno it that just causes more trouble.

IM NOT REALLY SURE BECAUSE I JUST FNISHED MY CAR...SO WHAT IS VTEC SUPPOSED TO SOUND LIKEE WHEN THE CAR IS TUNED RIGHT? ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HEARD.? BECAUSE I MET THIS ONE KID WITH A 2000 SI CIVIC AND HIS CAR POPED VTEC THROUGH ALL THE GEARS AND WAS FAST AS HELL.....WHAT WILL DYNO TUNING MY CAR DO?

dyno tuning will make sure all the correct variables are there for a nice runnig engine, They will put a wide band o2 on it most of the time and make sure timing is on and that the car is in corret order. AND VTEC can be heard with a straight though exhaust and an intake. The crossover could not be changed on vtec unless it really needs it, There will not be enough oil pressure there if you set it to low. Do not mess with any thing by butt dynoing the car, you will really **** it up, esspecially with you having turbo as you say you do. cheap turbo set ups on a vtec motor arent very good. if you have a decent setup in form everyone with what it is.
