engine harness questions

engine harness questions
my engine harness on some connectors such as the tps and map sensor while the car is running and i wiggle those wires it will cause the rpm to jump and come back down basically as if something in the harness is grounded out or shorted??and advice please help.i was going to replace my harness but wanted some advice thanks.
